How often you make ATM cash out in a month? Did you normally take any safety measurement especially during the economic is bad?

Here are some of the safety measurements you may take note:

1) Beware especially you’re doing cashing out outside the bank (some ATM facility located at road side or outside a building).

2) If you were force to give away the cash that has been withdrawn, do not hand over to him, instead throw to either left/ right side so that diversify his attention, and at this time, you run away if possible and ask for help.

However, if you were drive to bank/ ATM machine and being forced to withdraw your money, then you can try this skill.

What to do when you are trapped in a lift?

We never know when and where accidents will happen to us OR people around us. What if you were trapped in a lift? See the real example below.

One day, while in a lift, it suddenly broke down and it was falling from level 13 at a fast speed. Fortunately, I remembered watching a TV program that taught one must quickly press all the buttons for all the levels.

Finally, the lift stopped at the 5th level. When you are facing life and death situations, whatever decisions or actions you make decides your survival.

First – Quickly press all the different levels of buttons in the lift.
When the emergency electricity supply is being activated, it will stop the lift from falling further.

Second - Hold on tight to the handle (if there is any).. It is to support your position and prevent you from falling or getting hurt when you lost your balance.

Third – Lean your back and head against the wall forming a straight line.
Leaning against the wall is to use it as a support for your back/spine as protection.

Fourth – Bend your knees. Ligament is a flexible, connective tissue. Thus, the impact of fractured bones will be minimised during fall.

So never cry again if encounter any similar case of life trap

What happen if you were forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine?

You can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse. For example if your pin number is 8233 then you would put in 3328. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine.

The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately* dispatched to help you. This security guide was broadcasted on TV as well even though it is seldom used because people don’t know it exists.

*Depends on country/ area/ responsibility of policeman as well

LHDN (Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri) will be carrying out audits both on workers and companies to track down errant income tax payers.

Additionally, LHDN has made it public that the body had sent out the 2008 BE forms (Borang BE 2008) for those employed without sources of business income.

And attention to existing online submission tax payer. Those who filled their tax returns through the eFiling last year would are expected to use the same method. The deadline for the income tax submission is 30 April for BE forms and 30 June for B form (those generating income from business).

Beware of spam banking verification

The below are one of the emails I received lately. This ”professional” pretend to act on behalf the bank and asked the account holder take some steps which intentionally ask for the login details.

Beware my friend.

We are hereby notifying you that we’ve recently suffered a DDos-Attack on one of our’s AmOnline Banking server. For security reasons you must complete the next steps to verify the integrity of your Ambank account. If you fail to complete the verification in the next 24 hours your account will be suspended.

Here’s how to get started:

1. Log in to AmBank online account (click here).

2. You must request for TAC via AmOnline banking – your TAC will be sent via SMS to the mobile phone number you registered.

3. Logout from your account and close the browser.

4. When you have received the TAC (Transaction Authorization Code) on your mobile phone, go to our secured verification server and submit the requested information (Username, password and TAC). (click here) to go on our secured server.

5. Please allow 48 hours for processing.

So? Take note of the email address, at least.
